Be Wildfire Season Aware
Check the fire map before you head out

Due to our lack of rain and extreme dry conditions in the Okanagan we urge you to please check the BC Wildfire Map prior to heading out on the trails. We at NOCS do our best to keep you in the loop of trail closures but we also ask that you check trailforks and the wildfire map often as our newsletter only goes out once a week and conditions can change overnight!
CURRENT CLOSURES :: All trail users are being asked by the Recreation Sites and Trails BC to stay away from the Becker FSR and any trails leading to the area that is currently on fire at Vernon Mountain. (below, east and west of the radio tower — this includes Baconator)
This is to ensure the fire fighting crews have uninterrupted access for their crews and equipment while fighting the fires. Thank you for your compliance and for keeping our firefighting heros safe!
